Jaclyn's Maternity Session

Ah, summer pregnancies... aka "How many clothes and layers can I take off in order to walk into a store and not be thrown out for public indecency" pregnancies... I've been there! My son was born August 1, so I spent the summer months ripe and ready for the affectionately dubbed "evacuation day".  Jaclyn looked absolutely radiant during our session - a far cry from my puffy empire waist, tie back taffeta shirt and khaki cargo pants I wore in my maternity pictures 10+ years ago. She and Brad blended their family of girls a few years ago, so I was absolutely ecstatic for Brad when they shared they were expecting a baby boy. I can't wait to meet this little guy!

Corinne's Senior Session

Just an hour before our session, we were piecing together outfit options for Corinne. When the mustard shirt was placed before me, you guys know me well enough by now to know I said THAT'S IT. I love the way Corinne's images pop, from more than just her styling. She has the most gorgeous smile and infectious laugh that while you can't hear it, I know you guys can feel it. I had such an amazing trip to Mason, Ohio to photograph Corinne just a few weeks before she closed the books on high school and graduated with the Class of 2019. Here's to bigger and better things for this sweet girl!

Introducing Baby Caroline

A couple of years ago, I was struggling with deciding whether or not my husband and I were finished adding to our family. I'd always pictured myself having a larger family. Four was my number, and then I'd see where to go from there. Now, here I was at "just two", debating on whether or not our family was meant to be larger than a party of 4. Ultimately, we found our family complete.

I've always been confident in my decision, but that doesn't mean I don't love to hold and cuddle sweet little babies. Working with newborns and their families is the best of both worlds - I can get my baby fix but pass the baby back when it comes to diapers, feeding in the middle of the night... all that "other" stuff! How wonderful to get my baby fix, but also see how much my former newborns have grown into such sweet, chatty, beautiful big sisters!

Grace and Robert - Quantico Marine Corps Base

Grace and Robert are probably the two most kind and humble people you will ever meet. Despite the hiccups we incurred during our time together, they could not have been more gracious. Robert was here in the Quantico area for just a few months for school and training. His beautiful wife Grace traveled from their home in California for his graduation and we used it as an opportunity to capture the last memories of his time here in the DC area. The Marine Corps Museum once again served as a stunning backdrop for our session and the setting sun.

Nicole and Bobby

I cannot believe it's taken me so long to share more images from this gorgeous session! While Bobby and Nicole are based out of Philadelphia currently, many members of their family are here in the DC area. We had just one short weekend for engagement photos, rain or shine, warmth or - bitter cold! It was an very, very brisk session, but don't these two look warm and cozy? I had so much fun working with these two and loved planning along with Nicole, and my heart skipped a beat when she said she was hoping to mix tulle and plaid. These two nailed it, and I cannot wait for the fall wedding!
